shortie post...

...it's going to be busy at work today, so i'll keep this one a shortie postie.

there was a great newsflash on npr this morning. scott huler decided to deal with his mid-life crisis by following in the footsteps of Odysseus: http://www.scotthuler.com/index.cgi . it sounds like his book will be a great read, so that's a possibility for the bookshelf.

currently, i'm in hrothgar's hall, which has recently been cleansed of the wrath of grendel. right on, beowulf! i've always wondered what grendel looks like. here are what some people think: http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=grendel+images&um=1&ie=UTF-8

and the quote of the day comes from thomas merton's a book of hours: "You have to be all the time cooperating with love and love sets a fast pace even at the beginning and, if you don't keep up, you'll get dropped."

sounds like somebody fell. that's okay. you can always pick yourself up and dust yourself off. here's to the journey. cheers (clink).
